These terms cover Feather Plus, the paid hosted option. The app itself is open source and free to use with your own API key.

The service

Feather is a desktop app for macOS and Windows that writes replies from what is on your screen when you press its shortcut. With your own API key it is free, and your use of that provider is governed by its own terms. Feather Plus lets you use Feather without your own key: your requests go through our server to a model provider we choose.

Feather Plus needs an account, which you create by signing in with a link sent to your email. Keep that email secure: anyone who can read it can sign in. Each account is for one person.

Plans and billing

Feather Plus is a monthly subscription, billed in US dollars through Stripe. Plans differ only in how many requests they include per billing period. Unused requests don't carry over.

Your subscription renews automatically at the start of each period until you cancel. Your bank may add currency conversion or international purchase fees.

We may change prices or quotas. A price increase applies only from your next period, and we email you at least 30 days before it does.

Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel at any time from your account page. You keep Feather Plus until the end of the period you paid for, and you aren't charged again.

Within 7 days of your first payment you can ask for a full refund by email, as Brazil's Consumer Protection Code allows. After that, payments for partial periods aren't refunded, except where the law requires it.

Acceptable use

Don't use Feather Plus to break the law, to harass or deceive people, or to create content that violates the rights of others. Don't share your account, resell access, call the service from anything other than the Feather app, or try to get around its limits.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. If we close an account for any other reason, we refund the unused part of the current period.

Generated text

Replies are written by AI models and can be wrong, incomplete, or inappropriate. Read them before you send them: you're responsible for what you paste and send. The text you get is yours to use.

Privacy

Feather never stores your instructions, screen context, or replies. The privacy page lists what we keep and who processes it.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Feather Plus available, but we can't promise it always will be. We may change models or providers to keep the service working. If we discontinue Feather Plus, we'll tell you by email and refund the unused part of the current period.

If we change these terms, we'll post them here and, for changes that matter, email you before they apply. Using Feather Plus after that means you accept them.

Liability

Feather Plus is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 3 months before it. Nothing here limits consumer rights that can't be waived.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. If you're a consumer, you can also bring a claim in the courts where you live and keep the protections of your local law.
